Me vs. we: We wait, while others cheat
YOUR ARTICLE Jan. 26 gave valuable information on the huge numbers of doses needed to vaccinate the current numbers of eligible people under state guidance. Thank you. It was distressing to read of health officials hearing stories of people making up chronic conditions to jump the line to get vaccinated before they are eligible and before teachers, grocery store workers or the elderly or truly sick people and on and on.
Nothing illustrates better our society’s current state of me vs. we than knowing there are folks out there who would do such a thing. It sort of takes my breath away, as I sit at home waiting for my group and then my name to be called.
