David J. Conroy

-

With a deep feeling of loss and sadness, we must announce the sudden and unexpected passing of David Conroy, 80, of Albuquerque on Friday, January

8th, 2021. He is survived by his brothers Thomas Conroy Jr. and wife Mariellen and Michael Conroy. David was born in Vancouver, British Columbia. His father was in the Army and David traveled with the family around the world. From Michigan to Yugoslavia and from Turkey to New Mexico where the family finally settled down. David was a chef for many years at Kirkland Air Force Base and then switched careers to work at Walmart as a greeter for several more years before finally retiring. David enjoyed collecting Southwest art and traveling locally with his Senior Center companions. David was an animal lover, especially cats. He had a special "Conroy" animal voice he used when communicating with them, which they loved.

David will be remembered for his quick wit and delightful sense of humor. He always made his nieces and nephews laugh and when all three brothers got together, David had the best one-liners usually poking fun at them. Consequently bringing those listening to tears with laughter. He made anyone smile no matter the situation. He will be sorely missed. David will be entombed Gate of Heaven. at
