Dixie K. Davis, a devoted mother, avid grandmother, and loyal friend, died Wednesday, January 27, 2021 in Columbia, Maryland. She was 81. She was born Friday, June 23, 1939, in Clarksburg, West Virginia, to John and Willa Mae Sinnett.

Dixie believed deeply in the power of family and the importance of kindness. She loved her children, grandchildren, and friends with all her might, celebrating their successes with a deep pride. Her West Virginia upbringing provided great strength and a work ethic that was unmatched. A bookkeeper, and later a restauranteur as an adult in New Mexico, she gave every bit of effort to making certain things were done well. But she had an appreciation for life – she loved to cook and dance – that made her a joy to be near. There are not words to fully describe how she will be missed, but her influence remains with us through time, every minute of the day.

She is survived by her siblings, Nina Newman, Beverly Wise, Darla Fazzini, Tim Sinnett, and John Sinnett; children, Chris Davis, Gail Williams,

Apryl Keaty, and Shawn Davis; daughter-in-law, Patty Davis and Denise Davis; son-in-law, Scott Williams and Tom Keaty; grandchildren, Jessica Carlson, Adam Davis, Kelly DeLong, Bret Williams, Tabitha Sheppard, Hannah Keaty, Alena and Dimitry Davis; great-grandchildren, Isaiah Carlson, Matthew Carlson, Owen Davis, Wiley Davis, and Oliver Davis. She was preceded in death by her husband, Erwin Davis; and by her sisters, Twyla Davis and Marcilee Maxwell. A Funeral Celebration of Life will be virtually webcast from FRENCH Funerals and Cremations in Albu- querque, New Mexico. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Casa Angelica home for children and young adults with developmental disabilities at www.casaangelica.org. Please visit www.
