Jerry and Donna Zimmerman
Jerry and Donna Zimmerman are celebrating 60 years of marriage.
Jerry Zimmerman and the former Donna Spicer were married Dec. 27, 1960, at the Beloit Congregational Church in Beloit, Wisconsin.
The couple met at Eastern New Mexico University in Portales, and both graduated from Denver University.
Jerry is retired from the U.S. Department of Energy.
Donna retired from Albuquerque Public Schools.
Upon retirement, Jerry was a volunteer consultant for U.S. Small Business and a Potentate for the New Mexico Shriners. He is currently chairman of the Mesa Charity Corp., a Masonic nonprofit organization.
Donna is an active artist. They have one daughter, Jennifer Vincent, who lives in Tampa, Florida.
Donna and Jerry have written two books detailing personal experiences. Jerry and Donna plan to return to traveling in the future.
