Contact tracing can help keep us healthy
I was called by a contact tracer to discuss my COVID diagnosis.
They were very nice and perfectly professional but, at first, I was hesitant to speak to them. They asked a lot of very personal questions about gender, many uncomfortable questions about diarrhea, and others that seemed completely bizarre to me.
They explained why they were asking all these questions and I realized this is good. I can help by answering honestly. I gave a full interview. It was easy.
In hindsight, I feel strongly that contact tracing is a disease-prevention service that we should keep beyond this pandemic, for Zika virus, bad flu seasons, chickenpox and whatever else is next. This is a best-practices way to keep us all healthy.
