After years of planning and construction, Albuquerque’s location of Topgolf is holding its grand opening this Friday.

Reservations for the company’s soft opening may be available prior to Friday should there be a cancellation. Topgolf’s reservations are currently booked for the next week.

“We’re excited,” said Topgolf operations manager Peter Bowman. “We can’t wait to open our doors with welcome arms to the entire state and bring that Topgolf experience.”

The venue at Interstate 25 and Montaño features 72 climate-controlled golfing bays with interactive games, and food and drink. Topgolf has hired 250 employees for the location, with plans to hire an another 100 once public health restrictions lift. Bowman said 70% of the jobs are part-time.

The venue also boasts two bars, big screen televisions, a major event room with a patio and indoor dining — though all indoor common areas will stay closed for the time being because of public health guidelines, Bowman said.

The venue will also be operating at a 25% capacity due to public health regulations, but even at a limited capacity, Bowman said it will still allow every bay to be used. Golfing bays are limited to six people at one time and are spaced 11 feet apart with partitions separating each bay.

Reservations are required and can be made at topgolf.com/us/albuquerque/.

Topgolf is open Monday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
