FORECAST FOR THE WEEK AHEAD: We’ll be subconsciously choosing the mental states to carry us into the Lunar New Year. In this time of the Ox, oddly, joy and vitality are states that, while very attractive, are not quite seductive. In fact, it is the repellent states like depression, laziness, sadness, frustration … that often have unexpectedly strong, though secret, powers of seduction. One reason is that they are familiar and safe.
As we set goals for the Year of the Ox, keep in mind that it is much easier to commit to a goal than it is to commit to the problems and roadblocks that come with it. It is in making that agreement to tangle with the opposition that you become a contender in the game.
