Arthur Mauldin of Littleton CO, passed away on January 29, 2021 at his home. He was 89 years old. Arthur is survived by his wife of 72 years, Magdalen, children Jeffrey, Andrea (Ray), Stephen, Kevin (Debbie), Brian (Jeannette) and Mark (Layla), 17 Grandchild­ren, 15 Great Grandchild­ren and 1 Great-Great Grandchild. He is preceded in death by his son, Gary (Sheri). Arthur was born on February 14, 1931 in Milnesand, New Mexico to Fred Arthur and Julia Mae Mauldin, the youngest of 4 children. He graduated from Albuquerqu­e High School, where he met his sweetheart and future wife Magdalen.

After marrying in 1949, Arthur & Magdalen shared 72 years of marriage and a family of 7 children. From sweeping the factory floor, to selling on the showroom, then a traveling sales representa­tive, it was here he learned the furniture industry. In 1975, he and oldest son Jeffrey opened their first La-Z-Boy retail furniture store in Albuquerqu­e. In 1976 Arthur moved to Littleton, CO where he opened more stores. Art was a dynamicper­sonality and successful entreprene­ur who spent the last 45 years of his life owning and operating the La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries in the Denver market growing the business from a single store to five of the top performing stores in the system. Art will be remembered for his sense of humor, his love of animals, and his passion for the furniture business.

A prayer service will be held at 6:30pm, February 8, 2021, at Horan & McConaty Funeral Home, 3101 S Wadsworth Blvd, Lakewood, CO 80227. Funeral services will be held at 9:45am, February 9, 2021, at Holy Name Catholic Church, 3290 W Milan Ave, Sheridan, CO 80110, with burial at Littleton Cemetery.
