Donald Alan Oman, age 73, passed into heaven on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 with his wife by his side. He leaves behind a legacy of love, humor, and a myriad of people who loved him dearly.

Don first worked for many years in aerospace but found his true calling as a middle school teacher for Albuquerqu­e Public Schools. He taught at Wilson, Kennedy, and Jackson Middle school as well as Highland High School. Don was a Golden Apple recipient for teaching excellence while at Kennedy Middle School. Don is survived by his loving wife, Letha and daughter Jennifer Oman and fiance Callan Contreras, sisters Carol Ladner and Anne Whitten and husband Terry. His family of friends was immense, and his pretend grandchild­ren brought great joy to his life. Dons greatest passions were fly-fishing and the Ohio State Buckeyes. There was never a greater fan or advise giver to the Buckeyes than Don. Services will be held virtually Saturday, February 13, 2021 at 10:00 a .m. mountain standard time.
