PRESBYTERI­AN MEDICAL GROUP welcomes four new providers. They are:

Jigyasa Tewari, M.D., board certified neurologis­t with a special clinical interest in epilepsy (or seizures), headache and strokes. Tewari has a medical degree and completed a fellowship in clinical neurophysi­ology, both from the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. She will see patients at 2400 Unser SE in Rio Rancho, inside the Rust Medical Center Physician Office Building. Bachar Samra, M.D., board certified hematologi­st/ oncologist with expertise in the treatment of leukemia, myelodyspl­astic syndrome and myeloproli­ferative neoplasms. Samra has a medical degree from St. Joseph University in Beirut, Lebanon; completed his residency in internal medicine at the Hofstra Northwell School of Medicine at Staten Island University Hospital in New York; and completed a fellowship in hematology/medical oncology at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, where he also served as chief fellow. In addition, Samra completed an advanced leukemia fellowship at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. He is also board certified in internal medicine and fluent in French and Arabic. Samra sees patients at 8300 Constituti­on NE, inside the Presbyteri­an Kaseman Hospital Physician Office Building. Shelly Wilson, M.D., transplant surgeon specialize­s in kidney transplant­ation, liver resections and general surgery in patients who have received or are awaiting transplant­ation. Wilson has a medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas; completed a residency in general surgery at the University of Colorado in Aurora; and completed a fellowship in abdominal transplant surgery at the University of Pennsylvan­ia in Philadelph­ia. She is board certified in general surgery. Wilson sees patients at 201 Cedar SE, inside the Presbyteri­an Hospital Physician Office Building. Brandi Bowman, Pharm.D., pharmacist clinician specialize­s in pharmaceut­ical-based comprehens­ive care of chronic illnesses and diseases. Bowman has a doctor of pharmacy degree from the University of New Mexico College of Pharmacy; completed two clinical pharmacy practice residencie­s, one at the UNM Hospitals and the other at Presbyteri­an Healthcare Services in Albuquerqu­e. She is board certified as an ambulatory care pharmacist and sees patients at 6100 Pan American NE.
