SLAIN OFFICER HONORED
House Speaker Brian Egolf, D-Santa Fe, second from left, joins other House members and legislative staff Tuesday in a moment of silence for New Mexico State Police officer Darian Jarrott, who was shot and killed in the line of duty east of Deming last week. Rep. Candie Sweetser, D-Deming, told the chamber that Jarrot “died serving the people of New Mexico.”
