No evident system for vaccines in SF County
The state needs to publish its decision tree for vaccinations in detail and show exactly where Santa Fe County presently is in that tree.
I received a “we’re trying” email from the state. The Department of Health boasts 24.4 doses have been administered per 100 Santa Fe County residents. That is a convoluted statistic; why not simply say what percent of residents have been vaccinated? That’s what people most care about.
Assuming the 24.4 doses works out to, say, 20% of the residents, who are these fortunate people? One out of five residents may have received the vaccine, yet many over 75 still wait, some with underlying conditions. A lot needs to be explained, and the state’s macro level statistics don’t come close. JAMIE PAINTER TESUQUE
