THE NEW TRIPLE-A Divisions announced last week are good news for Dodger fans in Albuquerque. The placement of Oklahoma City in the same division as the Isotopes means that fans of Dodger blue will be able to see Triple-A hopefuls at the Lab at least one series a year (perhaps more), instead of having to wait every other year. Looking forward to the time when we can all go back to the ballpark. — Carlos Navarro

TO RCK, ALUMNI & FAN SINCE 1972: The Lobo “girls” team was dealt the same hand as the men’s team. Maybe the Lobo men should suck it up and play like “girls”.

OUR GOVERNOR has done one thing, anyway, that most New Mexicans would never have thought possible — bring Lobo and Aggie fans together — to express absolute dismay with her iron-fist forcing of the state’s universities to travel out-of-state to play their games. Before NMSU’s Pan American Center opened on November 30, 1968, the Aggies were playing their games at Las Cruces High School. NMSU will now finish their 202021 “home” season playing at Eastwood High School in El Paso. Would it be accurate, then, to summarize that she has single-handedly set college basketball in New Mexico back over a half-century? — Joseph
