It’s official: Los Lunas sports nixed

Los Lunas Schools will remain in a remote learning model for at least the next five weeks, confirming that neither of the village’s high schools will play football, soccer, volleyball or cross country this spring.

The district’s school board voted Tuesday night 3-2 not to hear a re-entry plan, meaning prep athletes at Los Lunas and Valencia must continue to school remotely. And only athletes at schools that are in a hybrid learning model are going to be permitted to participate high school athletics.
