■ Rush Limbaugh was hailed by conservatives for inventing the format of talk radio 33 years ago and using it to battle socialism every day. Socialism comes with its own Law of Physics. It states that, for every action, there is an equal and opposite government program.
■ The New York Post reported the cost of keeping the U.S. Capitol surrounded by troops at half a billion dollars, as Republicans demanded to know how long they’ll stay. It was reported Wednesday that National Guard troops will remain in Washington, D.C., until the fall. Question is, the fall of what?
■ The Comedy Store arranged for me to receive my first vaccine shot next Friday and my second shot four weeks later. My old running buddies will be amazed to see me stop after two shots. I have been sober 34 years but, to this day, I’m not allowed to go get the beer because it’s still too soon.
