Margaret (Peggy) Evenson Valdez

Peggy Evenson Valdez passed away on February 11, 2021 one month after her

95th birthday.

She was born in Marshalltown, Iowa in 1926. She had two children.

She was predeceased by her son Mark (Wendy). She is survived by her daughter, Lisa and husband Lawrence; three grandchildren: Austin (Jenae), Bria (Greg) and RayRey; two great-grandchildren with two more on the way!

She graduated from Fairview Hospital School of Nursing in 1947 in Minneapolis. Her nursing career took her to Connecticut,

Seattle, San Francisco, Denver where she married. She was a NM Public Health Nurse in ABQ. She loved to travel spending many years traveling to National Parks. She square and round danced with many ABQ clubs. She hiked with the Mountain Club and continued to go on daily walks up to age 94! Many thanks to all her friends at Manzano del Sol where she lived for 8 years and the sweet caregivers at Pacifica Senior Living in Santa Fe.
