One more homicide at SF’s Green Tree Inn

Another man has been found dead at the GreenTree Inn by Santa Fe police.

Arthur Loretto, 52, was found dead inside one of the hotel rooms by police Sunday morning, and Capt. Anthony Tapia described it as an unnatural death caused by “violent means.”

Tapia said it’s unclear when Loretto died, but he was staying at the hotel with assistance from the St. Elizabeth Shelter in town. He said police are interviewing potential witnesses and there is a person of interest, but police aren’t releasing their identity at this time.

He said the homicide is an isolated incident, with the only connection to a previous homicide at the hotel in early January being the location.
