Hispano chamber aids small businesses
The Albuquerque Hispano Chamber of Commerce is distributing personal protective equipment boxes to registered small businesses Friday, according to the organization.
During the event, small businesses will receive boxes with hand sanitizer, medical masks, cloth masks and disinfectant spray, and some will receive thermometers and acrylic dividers, according to chamber spokeswoman Angelique Baca.
“We are thrilled to give back to our community and support small businesses as we work to re-open together, safely,” Ernie C’de Baca, president and CEO of the Hispano Chamber, said in a news release announcing the event.
The event will also feature a booth selling Girl Scout cookies, an electronic recycling drop-off, a be Wellnm station and other vendors offering coupons and samples, Baca said.
To participate, businesses must be within Albuquerque city limits, have fewer than 50 employees and register online in advance.
The “Small Business Community Day” drive-through event will be held at 1309 Fourth SW from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday.
