Rangers top Bruins as 1,800 watch at MSG

NEW YORK — Ryan Strome had a goal and two assists and Chris Kreider had a goal and an assist in New York’s three-goal second period, leading the Rangers to a 6-2 win over the Boston Bruins on Friday night.

With 1,800 fans back at Madison Square Garden for the first time this season, the Rangers beat Bruins for the first time in three meetings. Brad Marchand had a goal and an assist for Boston.

WILD 3, KINGS 1: In St. Paul, Minn., Kirill Kaprizov, Nick Bjugstad and Joel Eriksson Ek scored in a 3:03 span in the first period and Minnesota held off Los Angeles for its fifth straight win.

AVALANCHE 3, COYOTES 2: In Glendale, Ariz., Nazem Kadri had a goal and two assists, Hunter Miska made 16 saves and Colorado survived two Arizona goals in the last 1:36.
