Georgia workers are victims of cancel culture
PAGE THREE of the left Democrat playbook says “If a duly elected Republican state legislature passes a law that attempts to bring back integrity and security to the election process, we must immediately denounce and attack it with the following phrases, Jim Crow (sic), racist, and voter suppression. It is not necessary to read the law, and you do have to tell the truth, when attacking.” ...
Page four of the playbook says solicit a gaggle of celebrities to jump on board and continue the narrative. Again, it is not necessary to read the law. Hence, Dave Roberts of the Dodgers, Magic Johnson, and LeBron James joined the fray along with a bunch of others, including the commissioner of Major League Baseball, Rob Manfred, who made the decision to move the All-Star game from Atlanta to Denver. And so the overwhelming hypocrisy continues.
The population of Atlanta is 51% black, Denver is 9%. Atlanta employs many black people in front offices, concessions stands, restaurants, hotels and other businesses. They rely on baseball, and loss of the AllStar Game will mean a loss of potentially $90 million dollars to the “little guys.” Georgia and Colorado have similar election laws. Both require ID, and Georgia has two extra days of early voting. Both have no-excuse absentee ballots, but New York requires you to have an excuse . ...
Fifty states, fifty different voting laws, some more restrictive than others, and yet Georgia has been selected for scrutiny. I am concerned about the larger picture which involves cancel culture/ critical race theory, which is scourging through our schools, corporations and the government. I am concerned that the mainstream media is aligned exclusively with the Democratic Party, which holds slim majorities in Congress. I am concerned with the erosion of free speech, censorship and immediately attacking those who do agree with the leftist agenda. I am concerned about absolute power. This is not a republic, this is not democracy, this is more akin to theocracy, and is beginning to resemble what has taken place in communist countries. Ask anyone who has escaped from that situation. It’s important to be vigilant because we never know who will be next. ALLEN BRUMER Albuquerque
