Los Poblanos Historic Inn and Organic is about to get a little more relaxing with the opening of their new Hacienda Spa on July 1.

“The Hacienda Spa at Los Poblanos gives locals and tourists alike yet another reason to take respite in our remarkable state,” Los Poblanos spokeswoman Lauren Kemner said.

The new spa, which will be open to guests and the public, features treatments like massages and facials, according to Kemner. Yoga and meditation classes will also be held in a Wellness Yurt.

Kemner said Los Poblanos has been working toward opening the spa, which is housed in one of the residential buildings designed by New Mexican architect John Gaw Meem.

“As Los Poblanos aims to be a regenerative travel destination, it became clear how a spa would complete the Los Poblanos wellbeing experience,” she said in an email. “After being used for lodging and dining for many years, the historic Hacienda was a natural location for the spa.”

All spa services will use botanicals grown at the farm and other professional skin care lines, she said.

“The intimacy of the space combined with distinct architectural and design elements craft an environment that explores the senses — sight, smell, touch and sound,” Kemner said.

The spa will join other services at Los Poblanos like its farm shop and restaurant.

Spa services begin at $155 for a 50-minute massage.

Reservations can be made by calling 505-308-3453 or emailing spa@lospoblanos.com.

M’tucci’s makes its way to Nob Hill

Local Italian restaurant M’tucci’s will soon be making its way to Route 66 with the opening of a fourth location later this year.

M’tucci’s Bar Roma, at 3222 Central SE, will operate out of the former Kelly’s Brewpub and seat more than 300 people between indoor and outdoor dining, company president John Haas said.

“Ultimately, we think it’s going to bring a place where people in the community can come together, whether they’re families or they’re young professionals or retired people,” Haas said. “... There’s just an amazing community vibe in our restaurants where people from all different walks of life get together and just live their life.”

He said that the idea for a Nob Hill location dates back to last summer, but was tabled due to the pandemic.

“We love the idea of being able to bring something into that community and neighborhood and do it in a property that’s so well known,” he said.

Unlike previous locations, M’tucci’s Bar Roma will focus on charcuterie options with two charcuterie stations where patrons can pick from a selection of choices and have a board prepared for them by a chef, Haas said.

The restaurant also will feature small plate dishes, late night options and full bar service with bar menu items, pizzas, pastas and salads.

“It’s going to be a pretty typical dining experience as it is with us, we just have more bar (area),” he said.

Haas said this location will stay open later than other locations of the restaurant as well.

Though there is not an official opening date, M’tucci’s Bar Roma is expected to open in December.

M’tucci’s opened its newest restaurant, M’tucci’s TwentyFive, in 2020.

Blake’s opens new Los Lunas location

Blake’s Lotaburger will open a new Los Lunas location at 111 Highway 314 on Thursday, according to the company.

The new 2,834-square-foot location replaces the former location that was torn down, the company said.

“We’re thrilled to reopen in Los Lunas with our new and improved restaurant location,” Ross Brown, vice president of facilities and development for Blake’s Lotaburger, said in a statement announcing the new location. “With the addition of a drive-thru, we’ll allow people to enjoy the Blake’s favorites they know and love in (a) quicker, more convenient fashion.”
