SF ANIMAL SHELTER & HUMANE SOCIETY
Buddy is a gorgeous blue merle Chihuahua mix who is just over a year old and weighs about 18 pounds. He is one of the sweetest little pups ever. He doesn’t mind hanging out with other dogs around his size. He’s great on leash walks, and loves to jump on your lap and cuddle with you.
Blossom is a beautiful 8-pound, 1½-year-old domestic longhaired female kitty who came to SFAS from a partnering shelter with New Mexico. Here at the shelter, Blossom has been super sweet and loving. She enjoys sprawling out on a nice cat tree while watching birds fly past the window.
These and other animals are available for adoption from the Santa Fe Animal Shelter at 100 Caja del Rio Road. The shelter’s adoption hours are 11 a.m.-6 p.m. daily, with the last adoption at 5:30 p.m. Face coverings are required to visit the shelter. SUMMER OF LOVE ADOPTION SPECIAL
The Santa Fe Animal Shelter is once again, despite a very successful clear the shelter event over a month ago, at critical capacity. As anticipated, the volume of animals coming into the shelter system exceeds current demands, leading to overcrowded conditions. Therefore, effective immediately, all animals, regardless of age or breed, will have an adoption fee of just $50. The adoption special,
which includes spay/neuter surgery, microchip and age-appropriate vaccinations, is going on only at the shelter’s main campus through July 31. For more information, please visit SFHumaneSociety.org.
