Mary Louise “Sister” du Chaussée, Age 61, went to be with our Heavenly Father on July 1st, 2021. She is reunited in Heaven with her grandma Candy Lopez, father Vincent Griego and brother Vincent Jr.

Left to cherish Mary’s memory are her husband Roger of 29 years; daughter Tiffany Medford and husband Ryan; son Alexander du Chaussée (Alejandra); son David du Chaussée (Amanda); mother Sandra Griego, mother-in-law Angela and father-in-law Freddie Singh, brothers Willie Griego and wife Anna, Ruben Griego and wife Reyna; grandchildren Ryan Jr., Logan, Nolan, Aspen, Miguel and Bliana; and many nieces and nephews. Mary grew up in the north valley in the Griego’s neighborhood and graduated from Valley High School. She devoted her life to caring for others. She passionately cared for over 40 people during her 12 years with HomeInstead. Her gentleness, kindness and love for others will truly be missed. "What the caterpillar calls the end of the world, the master calls a butterfly." ~Richard Bach. Mary loved butterflies and were a symbol to her as a reminder of the ones watching her from heaven. The Lord has given us a new angel to watch over us wherever we go. We know for certain Mary gave her life to the Lord and Heaven rejoiced, and now the Lord our God has her in His embrace. We may miss your body here on earth but know that you were made whole and healthy and dancing at the feet of Jesus in heaven. We love you and you will forever be in our hearts. “I will give you back your health and heal your wounds,” says the Lord. Jeremiah 30:17.

In this spirit, Mary requested that attendees to her funeral services kindly wear colorful attire rather than traditional formal funeral clothing. A very special thank you to Sandra, Tiffany, Jennifer, and Amanda for the extra care and compassion during her final days with us here on earth. Recitation of the Rosary will held on Tuesday July 20, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1860 Griegos Rd. NW. Albuquerque, with the Mass of Christian Burial being celebrated immediately following at 10:30 by Fa.Chris Hallada, with inurnment at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Albuquerque.
