Patricia Metoyer

Patricia, 83, died of natural causes. She is preceded in death by parents Meliton and Seferina (Rena) Sandoval; brother Meliton (Meli) Sandoval and partner Michael King; First husband Rudolph Barncastle; Soul mate and husband of 33 years Paul Metoyer. She leaves behind her children with families, Kevin Shoemaker, Marlene (Steve) Baum, Lynne Barncastle (Townsend) and John Barncastle. Sisters Anita Fleming (Tom) and Marie Daeschel; Grandchildren Karly White (Jason), Kurt Martinez, Eli Townsend (Kayla), Jenny Rucki (Mike), Ethan Townsend, Lorien and Thaddeus Barncastle; Great-grands Atlas, Ayden and Surraya White, Ella Townsend, Cameron and Lucas Rucki, Reed and Ryker Townsend, and numerous nieces and nephews. Patricia, 4th generation native New Mexican, worked for Mountain Bell for 15 years. She was a master of New Mexican cuisine, a fashion model and a talented vocalist. She was the lead singer in several bands in 70’s and 80’s as Patty Castle. In 2019 she realized her lifelong dream of being reunited with her son, Kevin, whom she gave up for adoption at birth in 1955.
