Stadium all about mayor’s race; we need a concert site

-

THE POLITICIANS’ support of a new soccer stadium is all about acquiring votes for their upcoming elections. They realize 10,000 attend the United games, which they see as votes in their pockets if they can get a new stadium.

What we really need is an indoor concert arena that can also be used to house the (Duke City) Gladiators and other events, but since the Gladiators only draw a couple thousand at best, they are ignored.

By the way, every other city of Albuquerque’s size has an indoor concert venue, but all we have is ancient Tingley Coliseum.
