Lobos, Aggies begin ’21 soccer

New Mexico and New Mexico State open their women’s soccer seasons Thursday, with the Lobos facing UC Davis in Las Vegas, Nevada, and the Aggies at home vs. Abilene Christian.

Defending Mountain West champion UNM tuned up with a 2-0 exhibition win Monday over Fort Lewis with goals by Maysa Walters and Karlee Maes. UNM also plays a counter Sunday in Las Vegas vs. Dixie State.

NMSU is playing its first night game (7 p.m.) since 2011. Tickets are $5.
