Texas hands NMSU soccer 1st loss

AUSTIN, Texas — Olympic gold medalist Julia Grosso scored two of Texas’ four goals, all of which came in the match’s first 35 minutes, in a 4-0 women’s soccer victory over New Mexico State.

It was the Aggies’ first defeat after opening with three victories. Texas, which had a 25-6 edge in shots, is 1-2-1.

NMSU stays in Texas to play Incarnate Word Sunday in San Antonio.
