Ashley Virginia Zangara

-

From October 29, 1986, until November 22, 2021, God blessed our family, friends and many other people with the presence and love of one of his Angels, Ashley Virginia Zangara.

All of us who were lucky enough to know her and love her realize that what made her different also made her special and that to know her, care for her, touch her, understand her, and especially to love her was a blessing from God. With her determination, graceful presence, and love of family, friends and everyone she met, Ashley inspired everyone and those traits were God’s greatest gifts to Ashley which she lovingly shared with all others like the Angel she was.

Ashley lived a beautiful life. She loved her family, her friends, and a good party. She was always on the go and her favorite activities included horseback riding. snow skiing, swimming, bowling, card games, yahtzee and she loved balloons! Her family took her all over the world including the Carribean, Hawaii, Mexico, Alaska, and her favorite place Tahiti. She never met a stranger and remembered everyone she met.

Ashley’s loved ones are her parents Kathy and Ken Zangara; sister Jenny Brewer and husband John Brewer; brother KC Zangara and wife Kelly; her nieces and nephews Kenzie, Cash, and Georgia Brewer; Dylinn, Connor, and Cam Zangara; her grandfather; Donald Clark, and the extended Calhoun and Zangara families. Awaiting Ashley in Heaven were her Uncle Danny Zangara, and her Grandparents Jim and Connie Calhoun, Mrs. Donald (Earlene) Clark, and Jerry Zangara. Ashley also loved

Josie Montano who, along with her family, loved Ashley as a daughter. Ashley loved Paula Duran Bentley and all the Duran’s who cared for her throughout the years. Ashley cherished her friendship with David Chiniski. Robin and Jeff Burrows and the Burrow’s family were like family to Ashley as well.

The family wants to thank the UNM Transplant Team, particularly Jonathan and Roberta, for their great care for Ashley throughout the years. Special thanks to Debbie and Carolyn at Four Points Equestrian Therapy Center, to Ashley’s physical therapist Sunny, and finally to Ashley’s caring medical ICU team at UNMH, especially Katie and Jacquelyn.

Ashley will always be an inspiration to us who are waiting for our tremendous reunion in Heaven where Ashley will be able to hug us, hold us, talk to us, and where we will love each other for eternity in our Father’s House. As Jesus told us in John 14:2 My Father’s house has many rooms: if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you?

A celebration of Ashley’s life will take place at the Tramway Plaza Event Center, 9600 Tennyson Street NE, on Sunday December 12, 2021, at 3:00 PM.

Arrangements are being handled by French Funerals, 7121 Wyoming so please visit Ashley’s online guest book.

If you would like to donate in Ashley’s memory, please consider Four Point Equestrian Therapy, 173 El Camino Campo, Corrales NM 87048. Ashley loved her horses and it would be greatly appreciated.
