Margaret C. Gallegos

Margaret C. Gallegos, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, NM passed away Wednesday, November 24, 2021.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Fermin and Adela Chavez; brothers, Fred, Luciana, Guillermo and Adam Chavez; sisters, Stella Fuentes, Helen Mitchner, Lucy Guerrero, Lena Liuquiore, Susie Chavez and Rita Romero; son in law, Neal Hoffman.

Margaret is survived by husband, Federico Gallegos; brother, George Chavez; children, David Gallegos and wife, Vivianna, Fred Gallegos Jr. and wife, Patsy and Gloria Hoffman; nine grandchildren, Vanessa, Richard, Angela and Mark Gallegos, Jeremy and Lindsey Hoffman, Jonathan Gallegos, Stephanie Gallegos Perez and husband, Javier and Victoria Wright and husband, Jake; her great grandchildren and one great great grandchild, plus many nieces and nephews.

Margaret was a longtime parishioner of Ascension Parish and was involved in many ministries which included, Religious Education, The Children’s Liturgy, church choir to name a few. Margaret was passionate with her love for the

Lord. Her whole purpose in life was to know him, love him and serve him. Also to always follow his commandments and give him glory for everything.

A Viewing and Rosary will be held on Thursday, December 9, 2021 from 7:00-9:00 pm. A Mass to be celebrated on Friday, December 10, 2021 10:00 am at Ascension Parish, 2150 Raymac Rd. SW. Interment will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at 9:00 am.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Hoffman, Jonathan Gallegos, Mark Gallegos, Christopher, Santiago and Jordan Gallegos. Honorary Pallbearers will be Vanessa Gallegos, Angela Gallegos, Lindsey Hoffman, Stephanie Gallegos Perez, Victoria Wright.
