Isabel M. Perea

-

Isabel M. Perea was the firstborn child of Francisco and Ocariz Montoya; born on Wednesday, December 6, 1933, in Torreon, NM, where she spent the first few years of her childhood. Her family then moved and settled in Albuquerque. Isabel passed away into the loving arms of our Lord Jesus Christ, on the morning of Wednesday, November 24, 2021. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Melba Duran; brothers, Augustine and Frankie Montoya; and grandsons, Nathan and Christopher Saiz. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Boleslo Perea; children, Linda Mendoza, Debra Jaramillo (Terry), Gerald Perea (Sally), Charise Saiz (Thomas), Edmund Perea (Victoria), Eugene Perea, and Donna Saylor (Cliff); grandchildren, Beverly, Reina, Ronnie, Anthony, Valerie, Brian, Kimberly, Jonathan, Brianna, Dominic, Brandon, Bella, Danielle, and Andrew; 15 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters whom she loved deeply; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Her family was very special to her, and she never missed events that were special to them. She never forgot birthdays and always acknowledged them with a card, gift, or phone call. After raising her children, she worked outside the home, where she retired from the City of Albuquerque, Environmental Health Department. She was independent, strong, and loved life. She liked to sing, dance, laugh, and enjoyed road trips or just taking a short drive to get ice cream.

She was beautiful inside and out, full of energy, and lived life with vigor and passion. She always found the good in others and admired the beauty of the world in which she lived. She was loved dearly by her family and will be missed greatly every day.
