Maria Evangeline “Vangie” Lovato, age 84 beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend was taken gently from this earth into the beloved arms of her dear Lord and Savior Jesus

Christ, on Friday, November 19, 2021.

She was a resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico for 50 years, and an accomplished hairstylist, amazing homemaker, cook, baker, and gardener. She was a woman of great faith, charitable, and enjoyed playing her guitar and singing on Sundays in the church choir. She enjoyed traveling both nationally and internationally.

Vangie was preceded in death by her loving parents Bernabe and Paulita Lucero, and her loving sister, Natividad, “Nat” Pando.

Vangie is survived by her loving husband John Lovato of 64 years, her children, Loretta, husband Marty Mondragon, Danette Lovato, and Johnna Lovato. She was also blessed with seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Grand children:

Marla Gallegos, Stepheny, husband Noel Beauchamp, Infania Pimentel, John Pimentel, and Rachael Pimentel, husband Danny Ramirez, Ashley Anaya, Eddie Alcala, and Sonya Anaya. Greatgrandchildren: Domanic Alcala, Leo Alcala, and Daniel Isaiah Ramirez. Sister: Helen, husband, John Espinoza Brothers: Tranquilino “Frank” Lucero, Wife Elva. Leopoldo, ”Leo” Lucero, wife Katie, Numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Vangie will be greatly missed by her loving family and by those whose lives, she touched.

A public visitation will be held on Thursday December 09, 2021 from 3-4 PM at Direct Funeral Services, 2914 4th St. NW, Albuquerque, NM 87107.
