Mark A. Hammond

-

Mark Allapowa Hammond (Zuni name DeLousi) passed away peacefully on Saturday morning April 23rd surrounded by his immediate family including his biggest treasure on this earth-his daughter, Isabelle. Mark was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on April 2nd, 1974. He moved to Albuquerque in 1986 and later attended high school at La Cueva where he graduated in 1992. He served a volunteer two-year mission for his church in the West Indie Islands. He went on to attend the University of New Mexico. He then began his career in commercial real estate and was mentored by Roger Cox, a family friend. At Roger Cox and Associates, he slowly worked his way up to president & sales manager of brokerage. The center of his world was raising his daughter, Isabelle who is 17 years old. He enjoyed making memories with her with trips to Disneyland, SeaWorld, Taos ski resort, Zion, and Bryce National Parks. He also enjoyed exploring the state especially going on hikes & camping as a young man with his close cousin, Levi Lementino. He was known as the fun and cool uncle by his six nephews and nieces, who he always spoiled. His sudden illness and quick passing were a shock, but we rejoice in the fact that we know we will see him again one day. We are grateful for the Atonement of Jesus Christ. He is survived by his daughter, Isabelle, mother Gloria, brother Chris, sister-in-law Elise, and their childrenConnor, Julia, Dylan, Owen, Tessa, and Pippa. He had extensive family from Zuni Pueblo including Aunt Carmelita Sanchez, Uncle Chet, and Cristin Allapowa, as well as numerous beloved cousins. Father D. Corydon Hammond, Aunt Suzanne Curley (Michael), Aunt Linda Hansen (Bruce) all of Utah.

Funeral services will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints San Victorio chapel at 11750 San Victorio Ave NE, Albuquerque, NM, 87111. Viewing is at 3pm; funeral at 4pm.
