Patricia Louise (Hooper) Sandager

On January 23, 2023, Patricia Louise (Hooper) Sandager passed away peacefully in her sleep at the age of 73. Trish, as she was known by most, was first and foremost a wonderful Mother and Grandmother, two roles she took great pride in. She was fiercely loyal and protective of her children and grandchildren and, although small in stature, was large in life and loved without bound or constraint. She was admired by her children and their friends for her open-door policy and always having food and a bed for all despite her sometimeshumble means. Her home was always a safe place and refuge.

Trish loved traveling and was able to see the world. She sailed on a yacht through Italy, had breakfast with kangaroos in Australia and went on safari in Africa to name a few of her favorite trips. When at home, she really enjoyed country and western dancing weekly and appreciated going to the movies.

Trish is survived by her sister Lenore “Bunny” Parrott, her sons Brian and Chris, the father of her children, John Sandager, as well as Son/Daughters inlaw Walt, Amber and Amy, her Grandchildren Orion, Soren, Alana, Marek and Grayson. She was preceded by her daughter Ellen, sisters Robin and Mary and her brother Tommy. Trish also had amazing “customers” from all around the state who she thought of her like family and they would often send her home with food or treats for her children, dogs or cats.

A service will be held at Riverside Funeral Home, 225 San Mateo Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87108 on March 3rd, 2023 at 4:00. It will be followed by a reception for family and friends.
