The Friends of Folk Art are throwing a duo of 21+ Mardi Gras-themed events in support of the Museum of Internatio­nal Folk

Art.

From 5:50-8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, don festival gear for the Masquerade Ball. Then, from 8 p.m.-11 p.m. boogie the night away at the

Dance Party.

Tickets to the Mardi Gras Masquerade Ball are $175, plus fees, and tickets to Post Masquerade Dance Party are $50, plus fees, at internatio­nalfolkart. org. Both events are at the Scottish Rite Masonic Center, 463 Paseo De Peralta in Santa Fe.

Pas de deux with a vampire Festival Ballet Albuquerqu­e is bringing “Dracula, A Love Story” to the National Hispanic Cultural Center stage. At 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 17, and Saturday, Feb. 18, Bram Stoker’s classic gets a ballet twist. Tickets run $12$49, plus fees, at nhccnm.org. The NHCC is located at 1701 Fourth St. SW.

4 Pretty fly

New Mexico Trout is hosting a duo of events this weekend at the

UNM Continuing Education Building, 1634 University Blvd. NE.

From noon-4 p.m. Friday, Feb. 17, Devin Olsen will lead a fly-tying workshop. On Saturday, Feb. 18, Olsen and Noah Parker will be guest speakers at the conclave event, from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

Country rock band Sawyer Brown is coming to Buffalo Thunder Resort Casino, 30 Buffalo Thunder Trail, Santa Fe. The “Some Girls Do” hit-makers will take the stage at 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 17.
