PIANIST FRED STURM will perform the music of Spain, Mexico and Brazil in Keller Hall at the University of New Mexico, 203 Cornell Dr. NE, at 6 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 26.
Sturm will present music by three living composers — Mario Carro (Spain, 1979-), Jorge Vidales (Mexico, 1969–) and Federico Ibarra (Mexico, 1946-) — as well as a suite by Brazilian composer Heitor Villa-Lobos (1887-1959).
The concert will feature the world premier of Carro’s Incertidumbre (Uncertainty, 2022), a piece inspired by a two-week retreat that brought together scientists and artists of several disciplines. The title refers to Werner Heisenberg’s “uncertainty principle.”

PERFORMANCE SANTA FE
presents “Late Night with Leonard Bernstein” at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 7, at the Lensic Performing Arts Center, 211 W. San Francisco St., Santa Fe.
A well-known insomniac for whom night was a time for creativity and friendship, deep introspection and revelry, the Bernstein worked incessantly, often entertaining friends and guests late into the night and dazzling them with charismatic performances across a wide range of musical styles. Hosted by his daughter Jamie, “Late Night with Leonard Bernstein” features three internationallyacclaimed artists — soprano Amy Burton and pianists John Musto and Michael Boriskin.
The program weaves together a warm-hearted, revealing script, a video slideshow of rare photographs of the legendary artist and his family, friends and colleagues, and Bernstein’s most intimate (and favorite) music, along with personal stories and even audio and film clips of the maestro himself.

GUITARIST PABLO SÁINZVILLEGAS

THE JUPITER ENSEMBLE
will play at the New Mexico Museum of Art, 107 W. Palace Ave., Santa Fe, at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 21.
Under the artistic direction of lutenist Thomas Dunford, the group performs a full program of works by the emblematic Baroque composer Vivaldi. Based in France and touring internationally, Jupiter Ensemble was born in 2018 from the friendship between Dunford and other brilliant musicians of his generation.
