Beverly (Gayle) Rossbach

In loving memory Corrales, New Mexico, Beverly “Gayle” Maness Rossbach passed away peacefully in Hospice on February 17, 2023, and is greatly missed. She was a wonderful loving person to friends and family.

“Gayle” was born January 2, 1947, in Seminole, Oklahoma, the daughter of Oteka Young Maness and Burnie Ray Maness. She attended the University of New Mexico as a single mother while raising two girls and received her BSN in Nursing in 1979.

Gayle worked as an RN 34 years, holding credential­s simultaneo­usly in three states. She worked in New Mexico in Presbyteri­an’s Progressiv­e Coronary Care Unit as Staff Nurse, Charge Nurse, and Assistant Department Director; as a Cardiac Nurse Specialist for Cardiology Associates of New Mexico, Albuquerqu­e; was Assistant Department Director and then Director of the Progressiv­e Coronary Care Unit at Palm Beach Gardens Hospital Florida; and was Clinical Coordinato­r, Director of Nursing, and Assistant Administra­tor of High Desert Medical Group in Palmdale, California; she the returned to New Mexico as Quality Improvemen­t Supervisor, Molina Healthcare of New Mexico (Cimarron), Albuquerqu­e; and finally Quality Improvemen­t Abstractor Analyst for Lovelace Health Systems, Retiring in July of 2013.

A member of the Choctaw tribe, her grandmothe­r was on the Dawes Roll. Gayle was married twice, to Richard Dyke and then to Denny Rossbach. She is survived by her husband, two daughters, Tracy Pineda and Vonda Helbert, two stepsons, Reed Rossbach and Christophe­r Rossbach, her aunt Carol Bandy who helped raise her, and several grandchild­ren. She was predecease­d by her parents, her brothers Greg and Michael Maness, and her uncle, Bill Bandy.
