Jose Benito

Trujillo age 94, a resident of Talpa, and Albuquerque, N.M. passed away peacefully at home on February 9th, 2023. He was preceded in death by his; Wife: Maria E. Trujillo (Martinez), Parents: Jacobo and Rosa Trujillo; Brothers: Jose Eloy “Lolo” Trujillo, Roy Trujillo, Ruben Trujillo and Serafin Trujillo. Beno (Benny) loved to garden, cook and travel (to the casinos). He was a proud retired teamster and business owner. Beno was very kindhearted and generous to a fault as he considered himself very lucky, an individual that would help you if he could. His humor, stories and wisdom will be terribly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his Son, John Martinez and Sister, Casilda Sandoval and family, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. He was very proud to be a Veteran and loved his Wife of (not long enough) over 60 years. Beno’s life was truly enriched by all the new friends he made with in-home hospice care. He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed being around people who made him laugh, which he did a lot in the short time he was in their care. Thank you to: The Veterans Hosp. staff and Volunteers, Meals on Wheels, Hospice De la Luz and Luna Vista home healthcare, for their Professionalism and Compassion! Beno was so appreciative to all who were involved in his care (his church and community). Then upon his passing, Thank you to those at the Trujillo Family Funeral Home who were entrusted with him. Their compassion and thoughtfulness was comforting through a difficult time. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating time or money to the organizations listed above. End of Life Celebration TBA
