Jesse Carl Bozone

Jesse Carl Bozone passed away peacefully at home on July 5, 2023, at the age of 93.

Jesse was born near Shubuta, Mississipp­i, and graduated from his beloved Mississipp­i State University, earning a degree in engineerin­g in 1951. He later served in the Air Force as a second lieutenant. After returning to Mississipp­i State for additional schooling, Jesse met and married Janice. Jesse and Janice relocated to Albuquerqu­e, New Mexico in 1954 to pursue a career opportunit­y at Sandia National Labs where he worked for 30 years. He was recognized as a Distinguis­hed Member of the Technical Staff at Sandia. After retirement, Jesse entered the private consulting sector and remained active in the retriever club. It was here in Albuquerqu­e where Jesse and Janice raised their two daughters.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years, Janice, and his two daughters Lisa Bozone and Becky Yeomans. Jesse is survived by his son-in-law Paul Yeomans, and Jesse’s grandsons Aidan Yeomans (wife Cheri) and Griffin Yeomans (wife Jaclyn). Additional­ly, Jesse is survived by his “diamond” grandchild­ren Brooklynn and Blake, his stepbrothe­r Robert (Bob) Bernard (wife Fran), his sister-inlaw Nita Bozone and family, and many nieces and nephews.

During the final chapter of his life, Jesse was kindly and lovingly cared for by the Giving HHC staff. His family will be forever grateful for their unselfish devotion and time spent caring for Jesse. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 12th, 2023, at Sunset Memorial Park in Albuquerqu­e at 1 pm.
