Josef Christopher Valery Witz

-

With heavy hearts and profound sadness, we announce the unexpected falling asleep of Josef Christopher Valery Witz of Albuquerque. Born in Chelyabinsk, Russia in 1992, Josef became a permanent part of our family in 1995. Josef was a beacon of joy in our lives, and his departure leaves a void that can never be filled. We remember him for his kind heart, infectious laughter, and unique sense of humor and perception of the world. Although always ready with a joke, Josef was hard working and mechanically adept. He touched the lives of so many and will forever be missed by family and friends. He is survived by parents, Lew and Lynda Witz; sisters, Anya Bucci (Robert) and Madalyn Witz; and brothers, Gregg Witz (Teresa) and Elias Witz. We extend thanks to Joe’s supportive friends, Anthony Trujillo from his days at Albertsons and neighbors, Rick and D’Ann Craft. As we come to terms with this unimaginable loss, we hold onto the love and cherished moments that will keep his spirit alive in our hearts. He graduated from La Cueva HS and brought with him a talent in woodworking. Joe used his skill for some particularly interesting projects, like a robotic refuse bin mover he designed with his grandparents, Fred and Toni Sparber of Belen.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, August 10, 2023, at 10:00 a.m., at All Saints of North America Orthodox Church, 10440 4th Street NW. Burial will follow the service at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. May Josef’s memory be eternal! Please visit our online guestbook for Josef at www.FrenchFunerals.com
