- — James Yodice

Zach Kmatz, sr., RHP, Sandia: If you’re looking for the state’s premier starting pitcher, this isn’t a bad place to start. Oregon State signee. He’ll be tough to dent.

Casen Savage, sr., CF, Rio Rancho: There may not be another player in the state who plays defense with the skill and panache as Savage does for the Rams.

Brysen Soiles, sr., C, Belen: Superb defensive backstop for the Eagles, a force at the plate and a steadying hand for the Eagles behind the plate.

Matt Delaney, jr., RHP, Albuquerque Academy: Delaney’s got the potential to beat any lineup he faces, and he is crucial to the Chargers’ chances.

Adriel Figueroa-Brito, jr., 2B, Sandia: An extremely well-rounded player, and one of the most fun players to watch in the state. Defense and bat both top notch.

Satish Raichur, sr., C/P, Albuquerque Academy: One of the most valuable players, in relation to their roster, in 4A, Raichur will be asked to carry a heavy load this spring.

Braiden Reynolds, jr., RHP/1B, La Cueva: He’s got an unorthodox, but entertaining, way of delivering the baseball from the bump, but he’s effective; won seven games for the Bear s a year ago.

Jaden Davis, sr., RHP, Cleveland: Davis has signed to play at the next level with New Mexico State, and he’s going to have the ball in his hand in many key games for the Storm.

Jacob Gergen, jr., RHP, Hope Christian: Lobo fans, if you want to watch a UNM commit, here’s your chance as the tall, lanky Gergen leads the Huskies’ staff.

Dylan Archuleta, sr., P/2B, Rio Rancho: He is headed to the Air Force Academy after he graduates, and he’s coming out from DH duties to play second base.
