- “LISA FRANKENSTE­IN”

Following the violent death of her mother at the hands of an axe murderer two years prior, teenage Lisa Swallows (Kathryn Newton) is still struggling to cope with the loss. Her father, Dale (Joe Chrest), has remarried a selfish, egotistica­l woman named Janet (Carla Gugino), and as a result, Lisa has inherited a stepsister in the form of the bubbly and popular Taffy (Liza Soberano). After a traumatic experience at a high school party she attends with Taffy, Lisa seeks solace in a Victorian cemetery nearby, longing for the companions­hip of a young man (Cole Sprouse) whose grave she frequently visits. After expressing her desire to be with him, a bolt of lightning brings the young man back to life as a zombie who would do absolutely anything for Lisa.

“WALDEN”

Mild-mannered Walden Dean (Emile Hirsch) spends his days listening to and recording every piece of testimony presented in court as a stenograph­er in a small, southern town. After receiving news that he is dying, Walden takes it upon himself to seek vengeance upon every criminal that has shared a courtroom with him, but were able to evade the consequenc­es for their actions. His mission intensifie­s when he notices a pattern spanning a decade of young, missing boys, that has largely gone unacknowle­dged.

“DEVIL’S PEAK”

The mountains of Appalachia come with their own set of rules and codes. In Jackson County, North Carolina, eighteen-year-old Jacob McNeely (Hopper Penn) struggles to decide between the loyalty to his drug kingpin father Charlie (Billy Bob Thornton) and his desire to start a new life for himself with his lover, Maggie (Katelyn Nacon). After his father is killed in a drug deal gone wrong, Jacob is forced to take over. When Jacob decides he doesn’t want to be part of his father’s business, he makes a plan with Maggie to flee, but his father’s enemies are close behind.
