AZIMUTH. GREAT, NOT JUST BY NAME
This yacht hit its sale target of five even before its presentation in spring 2018. A premise that points clearly to the success of the boat baptized as the new Grande Collection flagship, the most exclusive line of Azimut Yachts. Three big names sum up the yacht project, and comprise the umpteenth success of founder Paolo Vitelli’s team: architect Stefano Righini designed the external lines, designer Achille Salvagni the interiors, and Pierluigi Ausonio developed the hull lines. The Grande 35 METRI is an imposing boat with powerful contours. A Wide Body RPH (raised pilot house) made of carbon and epoxy resin, fine resin and superior mechanical characteristics, combined with Righini’s extensive experience helped lighten the look playing on the alternation between the lighter parts of the structure contrasted with huge dark windows for the interiors. The outdoor areas of the Grande 35 METRI seem endless: the yacht measures 35.17 meters in length and 7.5 meters in width. The unmistakable signature of Achille Salvagni — one of the 100 most influential contemporary designers according to the magazine — AD Collector, graces the interiors. The designer used fabrics that play on each other, opaque and light, combining them with the shiny and dark furniture details. Exclusive materials like polished brass, bronze and steel blend with fluid architecture conceived with soft and enveloping geometric contours reinterpreting classic styles in an absolutely contemporary and characterizing way. The result? A more sensory aesthetic experience: sober luxury, and surroundings that transmit calm and well-being.
