GOOD NEWS FROM THE SEA
Thanks to an unmistakable attention to design, styling and interior finishing – and to the constant increase of projects and units under construction – the nautical industry made in Italy keeps giving people lots to talk about and manages to keep a firm grip on the market’s leadership.
Azimut Yachts, with its Atlantis, Magellano Flybridge, S, Verve and Grande collections offers the widest range of yachts from 34 to 125 feet (10 - 38 meters). More specifically, Azimut Atlantis 45 is equipped with Volvo Penta’s Assisted Docking system. A hard-top yacht with a sporty soul, its exterior styling and interiors have been designed by Neo Design. Atlantis 45 is among the first yachts to be equipped with the new system developed by Volvo Penta. It is no coincidence, as Azimut Yachts has always been very receptive to new technologies capable of improving on-board comfort and safety. The assisted docking system ensures the captain optimal control over the boat during maneuvering operations, making them increasingly smooth and intuitive. The system in fact, automatically compensates for a number of variables such as wind and currents, so as to ensure excellent course keeping. Customer centricity and the focus on the product are key elements in the company’s growth strategy, especially in such a significant and extremely competitive market as that of the United States. Founded in 1873, Benetti is one of the oldest Italian shipyards specializing in luxury yachts. It is an icon of timeless style and excellence in building boats. Each yacht is unique and custom-made according to its owner’s
wishes. Benetti designs, builds and sells composite vessels from 29 to 44 meters, as well as steel and aluminum boats from 37 to over 100 meters.
Among these is Delfino 95, a very successful model with exterior styling by Giorgio M. Cassetta and interiors designed by La Mer Design’s Nikki Fhon (based in Fort Lauderdale in the U.S.) and by the Shipyard’s Interior Style Department.
Delfino 95 is a 29-meter yacht with streamlined contours and a timeless elegance that combines a contemporary style with very bright environments from which to enjoy unparalleled views of the sea. The layout has four decks. The Main Deck features a full-beam master stateroom in the bow and a spacious salon with extensive glazed surfaces that transforms and illuminates the space with an abundance of natural light. Amidship, the raised pilothouse allows access to the Upper Deck by going up three steps. On the same deck, the exterior space hosts a large dining table that seats 10, a bar unit and a lounge area aft with views down to the beach club and sea.
In the bow, a Jacuzzi/custom pool is surrounded by sun loungers. The Lower Deck has three spacious cabins in the bow for the crew and captain (five people), four double staterooms amidships with en-suite bathrooms for guests, and the engine room and garage in the stern for toys and a tender up to 4.4 meters in length.
A comfortable sofa and a second helm station on the Sun Deck make the pleasure of open air cruising an option at any time. The yacht has a top speed of 14.5 knots and a range of 2,320 nautical miles when cruising at 10 knots. Evo Yachts’ exclusive new flagship, the 24-meter yacht initially known as the Velar 78 concept and today officially named Evo V8, is the first model in the new V line and a highly original proposal that will amaze the market with all its innovative features.
With its understated and refined design, this extraordinary model has been developed to offer an unprecedented on-board lifestyle. It is an alternative to anything seen before, marking a clear break from the stylistic imprint of its predecessors in order to offer a new interpretation of life at sea.
Evo V8 is a boat designed to excite and amaze – like a Russian matryoshka doll hiding multiple nested surprises. And while the designer and shipyard promise to reveal all these secrets when the yacht is officially presented at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2021, some first glimpses can already be seen in the newly released renders of the vessel.
For Blu Emme Yachts – the shipyard behind the successful Evo Yachts brand – the creation of this model and a new product line represents a major watershed. With a design penned by Valerio Rivellini, Evo V8 stems from the desire to find the point of intersection between evocations from the two worlds, that of sailing and of motor yachts, with the aim of taking the best of both and revolutionizing the cruising experience.
The particularly innovative layout of Evo V8 – which sets it apart from other boats on the market in the same
category – is even clearer to see in the beach area, which can be provided with direct access from the master stateroom at the owner’s request. The beach area is an open space on the water – just 70 cm above the waterline – designed to enable to enjoy seamless contact with nature and an unbroken 180-degree panoramic view thanks to hull sides that open. In turn, this ends up eliminating all visual barriers and conveying the sensation of being one with the surrounding environment. Three steps connect the beach area with a low lounge area that precedes the master stateroom and has big sliding glass doors, allowing it to perform two functions: an open air patio for daytime use, separated from the interiors and offering shelter from the wind and sun, and a private living area for the owner at night, when the door to the exterior deck is closed, transforming it into an exclusive 12-meter long open space suite.
Baglietto Group announces the delivery of M/Y Run Away, the latest construction built by CCN to her Owner represented by Camper & Nicholsons New Build Division. Inaugurating the DOM line in aluminum, the M/Y Run Away stems from the shipyard’s fruitful cooperation with designer Stefano Vafiadis, who designed both interior and exterior, taking inspiration, for the latter, in the lines of the most contemporary “car design.” Designed for a young and modern owner, Run Away presents unique characteristics for a 37-meter yacht such as for example, the private terrace in the master cabin from which to enjoy beautiful moments of relaxation in absolute privacy, or the elevator that connects all the decks, from the lower deck to the sun deck. Also noteworthy in this yacht are the considerable volumes, something which is not always possible in vessels of this size. Another important feature of this yacht is the extensive use of windows, satisfying an increasingly frequent request from owners wishing to be more in touch with the sea. The “Run Away” layout is personal, based on a fresh and dynamic lifestyle concept and includes a 6-cabin configuration with the owner’s cabin forward on the main deck and 5 cabins in the lower deck. The DOM line – from Domus (in Latin “Home”) – essentially stems from the concept of a yacht that embodies the positive sensations linked to one’s home: an intimate and peaceful space, that is at one time comfortable and elegant as well as airy and functional.
