The lowdown:

Though she seldom got to race against runners from other local schools, Isabel’s times — and a fifth-place showing at the West Wetlands Invite — proved she was worthy of an all-region selection. Thanks to a 17th-place finish at sectionals, she was the only Yuma Catholic runner to qualify for the Division IV state meet, where her time of 22:23 ranked sixth among all local girl state participants. At Nike Desert Twilight, she set a 5-kilometer PR of 21:42, which ranked fifth among local girls there.
