The lowdown:

Maria was part of a deep and talented Cibola girls team that was once again the best in town. She set a 5-kilometer PR of 21:15 at districts, where she finished fifth. Her season also included a fourth-place showing at the West Wetlands Invite, a 24th-place finish at sectionals and a 90th-place finish at the Division I state meet.
