Qualified respondents can receive a $20 e-gift card for completing the 25-minute survey at tgnbsurvey.org. To take the survey by email or phone, contact david@cmi.info or 415-343-4656.
Rotary grants
The Rotary Club of San Jose Foundation in 2021 provided $150,000 in grants to 18 local nonprofit agencies, “the largest allocation of funds we’ve had to distribute in many years,” said Foundation president Clarence Stone in a statement.
“Our goal is to support the community, especially now, during the COVID pandemic,” Stone added. “These organizations need financial support to keep their muchneeded programs active.”
Nonprofits receiving Rotary grants in the current cycle include the African American Community Service Agency, Animal Assisted Happiness, Cancer CAREpoint, Hillel of Silicon Valley, History San Jose, Home Services of Santa Clara County, La Raza Historical Society, Sacred Heart Community Service, San Jose Dance Theatre, the Tower Foundation of SJSU and Valley Verde.
The Boy Scouts of America’s Silicon Valley Monterey Bay Council used its grant monies to fund camp programs for local families, development director Heather Lerner said in a statement.
“Rotary and Scouting in our area have been partners for literally over 100 years,” Lerner added.
