CANYON ROAD CONTEMPORARY ART
622 Canyon Road, Santa Fe,
NM 87501 (505) 983-0433 firstname.lastname@example.org www.canyoncontemporary.com After more than 35 years in its previous location, Canyon Road Contemporary Art moved to a larger space at 622 Canyon Road (the former Waxlander Gallery space). In addition to its established selection of artists, such as American folk artist Molly Heizer and pastel landscape painter Kathy Beekman, the gallery has added many new and exciting voices, some of whom have not yet been represented in Santa Fe. New artists include surrealist painter Jeff Faust; sculptor and painter Igor Galanin; mixedmedia painters Rachel Darnell and Carol Faust; abstract expressionist Laurie DeVault; and sculptor Dale W. Reiger. The gallery will host a grand reopening event the Friday of the weekend of the Canyon Road Spring Art Festival, May 11 and 12. At least seven of the gallery’s artists will be demonstrating their work. Additionally, the gallery will have a special preview of work and art demonstration by Heizer during the International Folk Art Market weekend, followed by her annual Collector’s Reception which occurs during Indian Market weekend.
