Santa Fe is a cultural and historical mecca, “a city different” where pieces of the city’s multifaceted history merge seamlessly with its modern cultural interests through stories, ideas and art. With more than 100 galleries and artist studios within one short, sidewalk-less mile, Canyon Road offers a crossroads of contemporary art by established and emerging artists. Nüart Gallery is located in the heart of the art district at the midway point on Canyon Road.
Established at the beginning of the 21st century,
Nüart Gallery’s mission has been to show the work of the artists the gallery considers to be the best. Over the past 17 years, the gallery has mounted more than 200 solo and group exhibitions by established and internationally known artists in its 10 exhibition rooms. It also has introduced many of its artists to the U.S. market and ships worldwide to collectors on every continent.
The scale of the gallery and the quality of the work from its approximately 25 artists, who originate and work both locally and internationally, are testaments to the passion and integrity with which the gallery operates. With high curatorial standards, its criterion revolves around an interest in and attention to talent of expression and artistic excellence.
This summer the gallery will present solo exhibitions for Juan Kelly from May 10 to 26; Charles Ladson from June 7 to 23; Ken Tolman from July 19 to August 4; Guillaume Seff September 6 to 22; and Alberto Galvez from October 4 to 20. Upcoming group exhibitions including Figurations, August 9 to 25, and Abstractions, November 8 to 24, which with each feature new work from the gallery’s dynamic stable of artists. Opening artist receptions for each exhibition will be held on Friday nights from 5 to 7 p.m. Many of the exhibitions will include artist talks in the afternoon just prior to the opening reception.
