Each summer, the Hamptons abounds with fine art as the annual Market Art + Design brings together 80 galleries to showcase works by some of the best modern and contemporary artists. The show, now in its ninth year, is coming off a record-breaking 2018 where it saw its largest attendance to date for the opening festivities. Held in a 50,000-square-foot pavilion on the grounds of The Bridgehampton Museum, the show will have extended hours tailored to East End collectors.

Market Art + Design kicks off July 5 with a preview from 1 to 6 p.m., which is immediately

followed by the VIP Party from 6 to 10 p.m. Both events are for VIP Pass and Preview Pass holders. During these openings, collectors have the first chance to tour the exhibitor booths. Among this year’s participants are Adamar Fine Arts, Galerie Fledermaus, George Billis Gallery, Haven Gallery, Rebecca Hossack Gallery, RJD Gallery and more.

In the RJD Gallery booth will be works done in magical realism, narrative portraiture and surrealism, while the George Billis Gallery exhibition will display large paintings by Liz Sloan and Steve kinder, as well as florals by Peggie Blizard.

Along with the gallery booths there will be a furniture and object oriented design presentation, as well as a number of talks. This year’s beneficiary partner is The Parrish Art Museum. General hours for Market Art + Design are July 6 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and July 7 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.•
