Happy Days

-

We feel like we’ve just been handed to keys to a brand-new car. It’s the same level of excitement, to be honest. But, for us, what we’ve been handed is access to our new website. Before I get into it, let me give you a little background. Since we started this magazine 15 years ago, it has been our goal to connect the best and most active collectors across the country to the best galleries showing the best artists each and every month. This is what motivated us to start this magazine in the first place and it is still what motivates us to continue publishing it today.

Also, it’s important to point out that we love galleries. We love the idea of galleries and we love thinking of new ways to get collectors through their doors, whether that is a real door or a virtual one. When galleries started to tell us several years ago that more and more people were comfortable with buying art online, we starting thinking of ways we can improve this process. Make it easier for both galleries and collectors to find one another.

That is what led us to create our new website including our new online exhibition spaces. From now on, not only will you be able to read every single article straight off our website, but you will also be able to peruse and purchase directly from a gallery’s inventory. How do you do that, you ask?

Well, every print ad in the magazine now gets a space online where they can upload up to 20 paintings from their inventory. You can find these down the right-hand side of the website. You will see the gallery ad and under it is a camera with a number next to it. This number stands for the amount of paintings the gallery has uploaded to this new space. These can be viewed by anyone who visits our site. Further, if you are interested in the work, just click the inquire button and email the gallery owner directly. All galleries will also have the ability to upload new inventory, mark paintings as sold and provide little descriptions or stories about each piece. Try it out now and tell us what you think! We believe this will help collectors find the art they are looking for!

Sincerely,

Joshua Rose Editor
